I’m Josh Mamaclay. I’m a recipe developer and chef instructor in Boston, MA. I teach at the Johnson & Wales College of Food Innovation & Technology, on Milk Street TV, at the Milk Street Cooking School.

My mission is to empower home cooks to explore and create memorable culinary experiences in their own kitchens.

I’ve been fascinated by flavor since my first dive into the back of the pantry at 10 years old. My passion for food brought me to Johnson & Wales University where I earned my bachelor's degree in culinary arts and food service management. Since then, I’ve worked in pizza joints, fine dining, wine, a chocolate factory, a test kitchen, and the spice trade.

When I’m not busy thinking or talking about food, you can find me painstakingly styling and photographing food, singing with my husband while strumming my ukulele, or leading intrepid adventurers through a fantasy-filled game of Dungeons & Dragons. And I craft polyhedral dice for tabletop gaming at clickclackmathrocks.
